Our Corporate Affairs Practice is seeking to hire an Account Executive to support clients with issues, corporate reputation, public affairs, and external & internal communications support.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and will be able to manage multiple projects at one time. If you are looking for an opportunity to work on high-stakes and complex communication issues for exciting clients we’d like to talk to you.
What you'll do:
- Conducting a variety of research projects to maintain knowledge about clients, industries and issues.
- Monitoring and daily reporting of traditional and social media.
- Writing messaging, talking points, Q&A and briefing documents for media engagement.
- Conducting stakeholder mapping research to drive client engagement with external audiences: media, customers, elected officials, regulators.
- Supporting crisis preparedness work, including crisis playbook development, simulations and tabletop exercises.
Experience that contributes to success:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of public relations/communications experience in an agency, in-house, ideally with a specific focus on reputation and issues management, or in a political environment.
- The aptitude to handle high priority and high-pressure situations with poise.
- An understanding of the current media landscape including national mainstream news media outlets, specialized industry publications, and digital and social media.
- Proficiency in office computer programs to include MS Office Suite.
- Strong research, proofreading, writing and editing skills.
- Experience with media monitoring tools such as MuckRack, NewsWhip and BrandWatch.
- Professional interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to work on a team and handle multiple projects in a simultaneous and collaborative manner.
- Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee resource groups
