More about the role:

Burson is seeking to hire an Account Executive, with experience at the intersection of public policy, technology, and communications to support large, complex client relationships and programs.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional passionate about technology policy and eager to contribute to shaping legislative and regulatory outcomes in areas such as AI, broadband, cybersecurity, digital content, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have the ability to synthesize and translate complex information into knowledge-based communications and will have a solid understanding of communications strategies and tactics.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise day-to-day client media monitoring reports focused on industry-wide news. An ideal candidate would be able to discern relevant information, analyze the news, and share insights with account leaders and clients.
  • Draft a wide range of high-quality content including briefing materials, blog posts, and social media content, showcasing strong writing and storytelling skills.
  • Contribute to strategy development for clients in the D.C. area, participating in brainstorming sessions and presenting recommendations from a policy perspective.
  • Provide support for client events, from initial planning through execution and post- event reporting.
  • Conduct timely and relevant research to inform client strategies and support decision-making.
  • Facilitate effective account management through organizational support.

Experience that contributes to success:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally in roles related to policy/government affairs and/or technology
  • Demonstrated interest in and understanding of technology policy issues.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between:
$35,000$75,000 USD
