Burson, the global communications leader purpose-built to create value for clients through reputation, announced the appointment of Claire Li as Greater China CEO, covering the agency’s business in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Li was previously Greater China CEO for Hill & Knowlton.

In a career spanning nearly three decades, Li has held both agency and in-house leadership roles, helping companies manage complex stakeholder challenges and shape their communication strategies for reputational and business growth.

Prior to rejoining Hill & Knowlton in 2023, Li served as the chief communicator in China for some of the world’s leading brands including Ford, General Electric, and Starbucks.

Li started her communications career as a senior consultant at Hill & Knowlton Hong Kong. Through her agency career at APCO and Fleishman-Hillard in China, Li helped build strategic capabilities to advise C-suite clients on government policies, market access, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement.
