As an Intern, you will contribute to Burson’s performance by working closely with the team/practice that you have been aligned. You are required to actively learn the ropes and support the senior account team members to manage client activities and integrated communication (IC) programs.
What you'll do:
Client Service:
- Be knowledgeable about your clients, their industries, and competitors; stay updated on client trade publications, national/regional news outlets.
- Be a keen learner and know the technicalities behind skilled writing to be able to draw up actionable client communications materials such as status reports, campaign summary reports, general activity reports etc., under guidance and supervision.
- Be a keen observer and learn how your senior team members service clients through decisive consulting, problem-solving and relationship-building.
- Actively participate in internal team meetings and be comfortable sharing and presenting your views internally with the team, if appropriate
- Learn about research and measurement methodologies and resources and use them to support the account team in IC programs.
- Monitor media coverage of clients and support the account team on daily administrative tasks.
- Play an active role in coordinating press materials and events such as press kits, releases, and press conferences.
- Learn the social media trends and the support the seniors on implementing social media/digital programs.
- You must possess a strong familiarity with how Generative AI tools are used across communications programmes, especially in planning, research, ideation, content creation, and daily operations.
Teamwork:
- Be an active and enthusiastic team player and proactively assist the senior members of the team to design and implement effective client strategies.
- Be receptive to ideas, opinions and insights from team members and be able to work as a team to support each other.
