Dolly Tayal brings a wealth of almost 20 years of comprehensive PR and integrated communications experience to her role as Managing Director, Burson Genesis and Brand, Sports & Entertainment Lead, Asia-Pacific. In her current capacity, she leads marquee client portfolios in collaboration with Chief Client Officers while also managing the brand's operations. Her role includes overseeing the overall business interests and executing a vigorous growth strategy that encompasses both clients and people.
With a tenure spanning over 18 years at Burson Genesis, Dolly has held several pivotal roles. In 2016, she established the Brands, Sports, and Entertainment practice, leading it for over five years and transforming it into the firm's largest and most dynamic division. By 2021, her contributions as Senior Director to the Creativity and Integration vertical ensured that Burson Genesis consistently delivered on its brand promise while expanding its innovative service offerings. In 2023, as Chief Client Officer, her sharp strategic counsel became highly sought after at the CXO level, solidifying her reputation as one of the most trusted advisors.
Dolly has garnered over 100 local and international awards for her exceptional work across a diverse portfolio. Among her achievements, she led the 'Keep India Smiling' campaign for Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd to win the ICCO Global Awards 2017 World's Best Campaign in CSR and the South Asia SABRE Awards 2017 Diamond SABRE for Brand-Building. She also won the FULCRUM 2017 Silver award in Creativity and Innovation for Star India's ‘#CrossTheLine.’ Continuing her streak, she secured a PRWeek Asia Awards 2018 Silver for Tetra Pak’s ‘Carton Le Aao, Classroom Banao,’ a Gold for Red FM's ‘Mumbai Khadde Mein,’ and a Fulcrum 2018 Gold for Star Sports' ‘All kids go kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi!’. Dolly holds postgraduate degrees in mass communication and marketing, as well as a degree in e-commerce. In a larger role, she mentors professionals and actively contributes to learning programs within Burson and WPP, including the WPP Stella Mentoring Programme, which aims to advance women’s careers in India, and LEAP, a program designed to develop young emerging leaders from within the firm. She is also deeply committed to social causes, demonstrated by her volunteer work at Rockland Hospital, particularly in the cancer ward, where she provides support to patients.
She resides in Delhi with her husband, Vikrant, and enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling in her spare time. An avid sports enthusiast, she previously owned a football team, Vulcans FC. She is also a passionate entrepreneur at heart, having founded her own interior design venture, CellarDoor, in 2013. She conceptualized and established the business from the ground up, overseeing all aspects of its operations and growth.
