More About Emmanuel Chantelot
Emmanuel Chantelot is Managing Director, Healthcare and Corporate Advisory, at Burson. Based in Brussels, he partners with Burson teams in Brussels, London and other capitals to help clients navigate complex policy, reputation and business challenges. He brings 30 years of experience in international public affairs, including two decades in healthcare during which he held leadership roles in four global biopharmaceutical companies.
Emmanuel joined Burson in February 2026 from Pfizer, where he served as Vice President and Head of Global Markets Policy & Public Affairs. In this role, he advocated for Pfizer’s public policy positions and priorities across all international markets outside the US and oversaw Pfizer’s regional and country public affairs teams. Prior to Pfizer, Emmanuel was Vice President and Head of International Policy & Government Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he led a global team operating across multiple countries to influence the international policy landscape, manage high-impact legislative issues in key capitals and drive government engagement.
Before joining BMS in 2019, Emmanuel was Executive Director and Head of Government Relations & Policy for Worldwide Markets at Celgene; Head of International Government Relations and Public Affairs at Shire Pharmaceuticals; and Executive Director of European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises at EFPIA, the European pharmaceutical industry federation. Earlier on, Emmanuel served as chief executive of a global oil and gas industry association, ran a boutique consultancy and began his career in public affairs representing the European non-ferrous metals sector.
Emmanuel holds degrees in molecular biology and biotechnology from the Free University of Brussels and received management education at Northwestern University in Chicago.
