More About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our corporate and public affairs team, working across a portfolio of clients and delivering strategic, reputation-led communications.
This role suits someone with a strong corporate communications background, who thrives in issues and crisis environments and is confident across stakeholder engagement and public affairs.
You’ll bring the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders in complex environments, alongside a strong understanding of how reputation is shaped through media, industry voices, policy stakeholders and executive positioning. You understand that influence today goes beyond traditional media, spanning executive voice, digital platforms and trusted third-party advocates, and know how to bring this together into integrated, high-impact programs. Experience in fintech is highly regarded.
Working closely with account directors and senior leaders in the business, you’ll lead client relationships and drive strategic programs, providing trusted counsel and guidance. You’ll play a key role in shaping influence strategies, identifying and engaging the voices that matter, from media and analysts through to policymakers and business leaders, to build credibility and impact for clients.
It’s a high visibility role with real breadth, offering exposure across strategy, client leadership and commercial responsibility, with the opportunity to step up and grow your impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day to day client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across corporate and public affairs
- Provide strategic counsel on reputation, issues and crisis, bringing a calm and considered approach
- Drive the development and delivery of integrated communications programs and campaigns
- Shape and deliver influence strategies, identifying and engaging the voices that matter across media, industry, policy and business
- Navigate and lead engagement across media, government and key stakeholder groups
- Support executive positioning and thought leadership, helping senior leaders build credibility and presence
- Oversee content, reporting and outputs, ensuring work is high quality and insight led
- Influence senior stakeholders, building trust and guiding decision making
- Use industry leading AI tools to enhance research, planning and content development, working faster and producing sharper, more insight-led outputs
- Apply AI driven approaches to media monitoring, stakeholder mapping and reporting, turning data into actionable intelligence for clients
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a high performing team culture
- Manage budgets, scopes and resourcing, maintaining strong commercial oversight
- Identify opportunities for organic growth and new business support
Experience That Contributes To Success
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields
- Proven capability in issues and crisis management
- Experience across stakeholder engagement and public affairs
- Experience shaping or delivering influence strategies across media, executive voice or key stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate complex environments
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting
- Confidence using AI tools (e.g. generative AI, AI-powered research and analytics) to enhance the quality and efficiency of communications work
- A mindset of curiosity and adaptability when it comes to emerging technology and how it can strengthen client outcomes
- Experience in fintech is highly regarded
