More About The Role

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our dynamic Consumer & Brand team, working across a portfolio of globally recognised lifestyle clients to deliver integrated, culturally relevant campaigns.

This role is ideal for someone from a consumer agency or in-house brand background, with strong pitching experience and a clear strength in either earned creative or social & influencer.

You’ll bring the ability to land ideas in culture, whether through standout earned moments or by activating the right creators and platforms to drive reach and relevance.

As an Account Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of campaigns across earned, social and influencer channels. Working closely with senior team members, you’ll help shape work that cuts through, build strong media relationships, and drive meaningful coverage.

It’s a hands-on role with real ownership, offering the opportunity to further develop your creative thinking, strategic capability and client management skills in a fast-paced, supportive and empowering environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimise the full lifecycle of client campaigns, from meticulous planning, timeline adherence, execution and impactful post-campaign reporting.
  • Develop and implement earned creative PR strategies and dynamic content calendars, meticulously crafting pitches and creative angles that secure premium earned media coverage across diverse platforms, including social channels.
  • Drive and evolve the influencer marketing program, encompassing strategic partner discovery, bespoke campaign ideation, content oversight, performance analytics, and actionable insights.
  • Ignite and contribute to innovative campaign development, consistently pushing creative boundaries to deliver culturally relevant work that resonates deeply with target audiences.
  • Curate and elevate all communication assets, ensuring consistency and quality across press releases, media materials, and engaging social content.
  • Harness Burson’s AI capabilities for expedited content generation, advanced media research, and predictive trend analysis, enhancing campaign efficiency and strategic foresight.
  • Forge and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with journalists, key influencers, and strategic partners to amplify brand messaging.
  • Act as a dedicated mentor for junior team members, fostering their professional development and actively participating in pitches and new business growth opportunities.

Experience That Contributes To Success

  • 3+ years' experience in consumer lifestyle PR
  • Experience working in fast paced agency environment(s) or in-house roles Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. generative AI for content, research and ideation) and an openness to using them across campaign workflows
  • Strong pitching experience with a proven track record of securing coverage in top tier Australian press
  • Strength in either earned creative or social and influence, with examples of work that has landed in culture is a bonus
  • Interest in how emerging technology and platforms can strengthen creative campaigns and audience engagement
  • Strong writing and content development skills
  • Confidence managing multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • A proactive, creative and solutions focused mindset
