Burson is looking for an Assistant Consultant with specialization in Influencer Marketing to work across iconic beauty, retail and CPG brands. As a part of WPP Onefluence, you’ll be joining a full-service network with the most sophisticated influencer expertise around the globe to meet client scale.

Influencer marketing is a core piece of our business, and we are seeking someone who is as passionate about this world as we are. We’re looking for candidates who are social first, tapped in, and passionate about beauty & retail.

Here’s what you’d be doing:

  • Conduct identification, vetting and outreach of on-brand and campaign-relevant influencers for paid collaborations and seeding or event activations, based on strategic plan development and in collaboration with the senior team & clients
  • For paid influencer partnerships, support with negotiation, project management and measurement, based on strategic plan development from the senior team & clients
  • Manage end-to-end execution of seeding and event campaigns, including outreach, queries, strategic decisions for engagement/optimization and content monitoring
  • Collaborate with the team on monitoring and compliance across all activities
  • Account depending, responsible for developing and/or providing input into campaign reports by tracking and optimizing organic and paid influencer content, along with analyzing to provide actionable insights and opportunities
  • Keep on top of emerging social trends, platforms, technologies, and influencers in the Canadian market
  • Carry out social media listening and research to identify trends in online conversations and to pinpoint key influencers

What you’ll need to get here:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Influencer, PR, Digital, Content or Brand Marketing agencies
  • Ability to utilize metrics and insights from various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other emerging channels for optimization and future plan recommendations
  • Clear understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, the importance and role of influencer marketing and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of the influencer marketing landscape in Canada
  • Experience utilizing influencer identification and vetting systems like CreatorIQ, Traackr or in-platform tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
  • Flawless organizational skills and keen attention to detail to maintain client service excellence
  • Ability to prioritize and manage high volumes of requests
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus

In Ontario, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. This range reflects our broader group’s compensation framework across diverse agencies and disciplines. For this specific role at Burson, our offer will be determined within this range based on our internal benchmark, reflecting the specific market conditions for our discipline. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.​
