More about the role:

We are seeking a hands-on Director, Business Intelligence, Data & Insights to lead issues, crisis, reputation, and media intelligence programs for high-profile organizations. This role sits at the intersection of data, communications, and risk, translating large volumes of media, social, and stakeholder data into timely, actionable insights that inform executive decision-making during moments that matter most.

The ideal candidate brings a strong analytics foundation paired with a deep understanding of issues management, crisis communications, and always-on media monitoring, helping clients anticipate risk, track emerging narratives, and respond with confidence.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of issues, crisis, and reputation intelligence programs, including media monitoring, escalation frameworks, and executive dashboards
  • Serve as a senior, client-facing advisor translating complex data and narrative signals into clear, strategic counsel
  • Design and oversee media monitoring and listening solutions across earned, social, and digital channels
  • Develop early-warning and trend-detection models to identify escalation risks and narrative velocity
  • Integrate qualitative and quantitative intelligence into actionable insights
  • Support real-time response, scenario planning, and post-incident analysis
  • Build scalable dashboards delivering near–real-time intelligence
  • Ensure analytical rigor, data quality, and compliance
  • Mentor and develop analytics and insights teams
  • Champion responsible use of AI in monitoring and intelligence workflows

Experience that contributes to success:

  • 7+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or media intelligence; 2+ years in leadership
  • Experience supporting issues management, crisis communications, or reputation programs
  • Strong background in media monitoring and narrative analysis
  • Experience in PR, communications, or client-service environments
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R
  • Dashboarding expertise (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Ability to advise senior stakeholders under pressure
  • Degree in a quantitative or communications-related field
  • Experience applying AI to media analysis or trend detection
  • Familiarity with global media landscapes

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between:
$60,000$140,000 USD
