More About the Role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Public Relations Corporate Account Manager to join the team at Burson.

If you have a background in issues and crisis communications and/or fintech and are keen to work across complex, high-impact briefs, this could be the role for you.

This corporate focused role has a strong emphasis on technology and reputation. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of global and emerging brands, delivering integrated communications and partnering closely with senior leaders and clients in fast-moving and often highly regulated environments.

As a Public Relations Corporate Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping clients manage risk, shape narratives and deliver strategic communications that cut through. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently flex between corporate storytelling and issues management, exercise sound judgement and build trusted client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day client relationships across corporate and integrated accounts, acting as a trusted and responsive point of contact
  • Manage account delivery, including project timelines, budgets, priorities and quality control
  • Support issues and crisis communications, including monitoring, risk assessment, message development and response planning
  • Develop strategic communications plans tailored to different audiences, channels and business objectives
  • Draft and oversee high quality content, including media materials, stakeholder communications, executive messaging and thought leadership
  • Manage proactive and reactive media relations while building strong relationships with journalists
  • Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver integrated social and digital campaigns
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to new business proposals and strategic recommendations

Experience That Contributes To Success

  • Experience operating at Account Manager level within PR, corporate communications, or agency environments
  • Strong background in issues & crisis communications
  • Experience working across fintech or financial services (or other regulated industries)
  • Proven ability to manage clients and provide strategic counsel in high-pressure environments
  • Strong writing skills across corporate and media materials
