More About Gesa Winkens
Gesa is specialised in designing and leading (multinational) integrated communication campaigns and (event) communication projects with clients within the private sector as well as public sector clients from national governments, to the European institutions and UN bodies - and has gained a vast experience across different EU policy areas, supporting clients in the agrifood, energy and chemical sector among others. She counsels her clients on the strategic development and implementation of communication projects and has an extensive track record in designing and implementing effective PR and outreach activities, overseeing the development of communication and creative materials as well as developing effective messaging for advocacy campaigns. Furthermore, she regularly ideates and implements (digital) workshops as well as exclusive media briefing sessions, spokesperson and crisis communication trainings.
Throughout the past 13+ years, Gesa also worked as Senior PR Consultant and Project Director in the European Office of Scholz & Friends (a German award-winning Communications Agency and part of WPP), with WPP’s Government and Public Sector Practice, in the President’s Cabinet of the European Committee of the Regions, in the Communications Department of the German Embassy in Ottawa and as a Project & Event Manager in the academic sector in Italy.
