Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Account Director to be the day-to-day account lead for of some of North America’s most exciting financial and professional services brands.

This replacement role is ideal for an agency-experienced professional with a strong focus on corporate communications, client management, and an interest in financial services, professional services and/or energy. Your strategic mindset, understanding of B2B communications and dedication to high-quality work and exceptional client service will be critical to helping our clients succeed.

As a Senior Account Director, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing communications counsel and managing day-to-day client activities.
  • Lead the development and execution of corporate communications campaigns to reach B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Design and manage integrated campaigns in partnership with strategists, research, creative and measurement colleagues across earned, owned, and shared media channels.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, effective project management, and a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Support clients in the event of an issue or crisis, providing timely communications counsel.
  • Mentor early career colleagues to support their development by offering regular feedback, guidance, and support.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities with existing clients and participating in new business pitches.
  • Demonstrate and inspire creativity and innovation in client solutions and team culture.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8-10 years of communications experience with agency experience preferred.
  • A proven track record of developing communications strategies and delivering measurable results that support business and organizational outcomes.
  • Experience and interest in working with clients who operate in the financial services, professional services, or energy sectors.
  • Strong experience in earned media strategy and execution, with additional skills in paid, owned and shared media being an asset.
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns that combine thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications tactics.
  • Exceptional team and time management skills with the ability to oversee multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for mentorship and team development with a collaborative and positive approach.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas to clients.
  • An interest in public policy and the role of federal, provincial and municipal governments and regulators on communications activities is also an asset.
