"A New Home for Film": Amplifying Voices, Igniting Passion
Under the festival’s 2024 theme: “A New Home for Film”, we helped RSIFF elevate global awareness, attract wider media attention, and generate extensive coverage of its unique programming and world-renowned talent. More than just a festival, RSIFF is committed to developing the national film industry and championing emerging voices from Arab, African, and Asian regions – providing a vital platform for filmmakers, and filling a critical gap in the global film festival landscape. To achieve this, Burson developed and executed a comprehensive communications strategy, building upon past successes while reinforcing RSIFF's bold narrative in Al Balad. This involved managing media activity for over 150 hosted media and 70 locally based media, facilitating more than 500 press junket interviews, and overseeing 18 red carpets, including the prestigious Women in Cinema gala event. Beyond the glamour, we led crisis communications planning and real-time media monitoring, ensuring RSIFF's narrative remained controlled and impactful.
